Nitrogen is a vital nutrient for plant growth, but one that is easily lost to the environment. NSmart is a natural polymer coated nitrogen product and the main difference to other coated products is that the coating does not come off. The polymer imbibes water, swells to twice it’s volume and nitrogen is released by osmosis while the product remains moist. In dry conditions the polymer shrinks and no nitrogen is released. Typical release rates are 90 days so this is a good choice going into the winter when heavy rain events are likely, and likewise going into the summer when rain is not guaranteed.
